This site was specifically designed for educators, community-based substance abuse prevention and treatment professionals, mental health care service providers, researchers and evaluators, workplace and criminal justice personnel, and others who are interested in obtaining details about substance use related instruments.
The Instrument Wizard allows you to search on a wide array of elements including target audience characteristics, specific substance of abuse, instrument purpose, and other related topics. The Wizard will identify appropriate instruments, show you the instruments' items, and allow you to export the instruments to a word processing file. You can also learn about the instruments' detailed properties such as psychometrics and scoring information and how to contact the developer or copyright holder. 		Visitors

Many of the instruments included are in the public domain and may be used freely and at no cost; however, some instruments are copyright protected and require permission to reproduce and/or use. Information is provided on how to obtain permission and a copy of those instruments that could not be reproduced in the Instrument Wizard.
